3 mind-blowing ways for Batista to return to WWE

The “Animal” Batista is one of the most popular and most successful WWE Legends ever. He was considered equals with all-time greats like John Cena, Triple-H, and Randy Orton during his prime. With good reason to, he was a 6-time WWE world champion, 4-time Tag champion, and he won the Royal Rumble twice. He was also the longest-reigning World Heavyweight Champion in history, lasting 282 days.

Since stepping away from wrestling in 2010, Batista has enjoyed similar success in Hollywood, proving over the years to be a natural in movies like; Guardians of the Galaxy and Bladerunner 2049.

With legends like Stone cold Steve Austin returning to WWE action at Wrestlemania 38, fans can’t help but wonder who would be next to return.

Naturally, the “Animal” would be an excellent choice for a return since he is one of those legends who is always in supreme conditioning, and he has added star-power WWE desperately needs. However, Batista has never been shy about his willingness to return to the squared circle telling Ringside news in 2021: “I’m just done. I got to finish on my own terms, and nothing is going to bring me back and take away from that.”

Today, we are ignoring that it had been 20 years since his debut so I decided to pitch three mind-blowing feuds that would be fantastic ways to bring Batista back. Next year in Hollywood, the Hall of Fame is rumored to be a moment set up for Batista after scheduling conflicts hampered his initial induction in 2021. Is this fantasy booking? yes, but like one of his greatest rivals, The Undertaker said in his recent induction, “Never say Never.”

This feud already has a compelling tagline of “The Animal vs The Beast,” which immediately sounds like

a Wrestlemania-worthy dream match. They are two larger-than-life people with larger-than-life personas and physiques. If a lucrative incentive, with a possible heel “hollywood” Batista vs the Country boy Beast we have seen lately, was pitched to the Animal, a return could be imminent.

Batista and Roman Reigns are no strangers to one another from those Shield vs Evolution days in 2014. The hook for this possible return focuses on the success of Roman’s Tribal Chief character. Reigns has been dominating WWE TV for the last couple of years now and has recently been calling himself the greatest ever to do it. How can you argue with an almost 600-day reign as Universal champion? With most of WWE’s current roster seemingly not on his level, why not let another legend take a shot at the head of the table. Roman has knocked off Bryan Danielson, Edge, and Cena during this run, and adding a name like Batista to that list can only make Roman’s claim stronger.

3. The Rock vs John Cena vs Batista

This match is pure fantasy booking, but the story pretty much writes itself. Three of the biggest names in wrestling have also had success as movie stars in a triple threat at Wrestlemania 39 in Hollywood. It is a match that could combine multiple generations of wrestling fans with television and movie fans who may not be wrestling fans. It’s such a big match that all there is left to wonder is who do you have winning? Drax? Peacemaker? Or Black Adam?.
