Wrestlemania 37 will be a one-of-a-kind experience for wrestling and entertainment fans alike, as it will be the first WWE pay-per-view to take place in front of a crowd since last March’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 in Philadelphia. Wrestlemania will be a two-night extravaganza once again this year which means the cards are stacked! Wrestlemania is so close that I can taste it. Here are my predictions for both nights of Wrestlemania 37!

Night 1:

Tag Team Turmoil: Lana and Naomi vs. Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose vs. The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott) vs. Natalya and Tamina vs. Billie Kay and Carmella

My pick: Naomi and Lana

I like what they have been trying to do with Tamina and Natalya lately, but let’s be honest, I doubt they will win. The winner of this match challenges the current Women’s Tag Team Champions “Shaynia” (Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler) on night 2. If I’m being real about this match, I really could care less who wins, because WWE does not seem to care much about this match. This match basically had a one-week build! Unless there are surprises, like Baylee finding a surprise partner, I believe Lana and Naomi make the most sense to win this match. Lana needs to get some measure of revenge for the many times the champs brutalized her.

Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon (Steel Cage Match)

My pick: Braun Strowman

Please take me back to 2017 when Braun Strowman seemed like the most unstoppable thing in the world and not fighting another grown man for calling him stupid. Why have they done everything they can to kill off that ambulance flipping badass monster who chased Roman Reigns around in their classic feud? WWE would be “STUPID” to let Shane prevail in this one even though that doesn’t mean they won’t book him to do it. If they do, good luck getting fans to take him seriously going forward.

Raw Tag Team Championship: The New Day vs. AJ Styles & Omos

My pick: AJ Styles & Omos

The build to this match was basically "The New Day is a real team while AJ & Omos has no team experience." That is pretty much it. I love New Day, always have, and the 11-time Tag champs never fail to entertain, but this match is about the debuting Giant Omos. I am interested to see what the big guy can do and I believe he is in there with the perfect people to make him look great. I believe will have new champs!

Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins

My pick: Cesaro

This is one of the matches I can’t wait to see. These are easily two of the best wrestlers in the world and I’m expecting an incredible match. The story of Cesaro not being good enough to beat Seth Rollins and fulfill his potential is a compelling one, especially if you recognize just how underutilized and underrated Cesaro has been in WWE. Cesaro needs this win if he’s ever going to grab that proverbial brass ring everyone talks about.

Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. The Miz & John Morrison

My pick: Bad Bunny & Damien Priest

I have to commend Bad Bunny for being a celebrity who actually seems to love this business just like the rest of us fans. He is taking this seriously and from all accounts, he respects this business and has been working hard to train for this match-up. There is no way Bad Bunny and Priest will lose this.

WWE Championship: Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre

My pick: Drew Mcintyre

I mulled over this decision for a while because I was fully invested in the Almighty Era. Then Drew earned a title shot at Wrestlemania and for some reason, Bobby seemed to lose the elements that made him the almighty WWE champion. All of a sudden Bobby and MVP break away from the hurt business because they couldn’t take Drew out and Bobby seems to need others to do his dirty work for him instead of being the badass he has been up to that point. Unless this is a big swerve, I believe Drew will defeat Bobby and have the moment he was robbed of last year, winning the WWE Championship in front of the thousands in attendance.

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair

My pick: Sasha Banks

As of typing this I have heard that this will be the main event of night 1. If this is true congratulations to both ladies for making history because this division has deserved a spot like this for years. The storyline to get these ladies to this point I’m not a fan (mostly because it’s overdone) of but these two ladies will shine in my opinion. I believe Sasha Banks will retain though, mostly because it is too soon for Sasha’s reign to end. If Bianca wins, though, I will not complain at all.

Night 2

WWE Women's Tag Team Title Match:

Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax vs. the winner of the Tag Team Turmoil Match

My pick: If Lana and Naomi or (Surprise team) doesn’t win on Night 1 my pick is Shaynia.

The only prediction I can make is that Reginald will end up costing Nia and Shayna and splitting them up in typical WWE fashion if they face my pick or a surprise duo. If they have to face anyone else from the turmoil match I’m predicting them to retain.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

My pick: Kevin Owens

Historically, these two have consistently had awesome matches. They make great partners but even better opponents. However, I am not interested in the involvement of Logan Paul, even if I am very interested in seeing Sami fight KO as a heel since Kevin has usually been the heel in the past. I’m predicting Kevin to win via the stunner and maybe even an extra one for Logan Paul.

United States Championship: Riddle vs. Sheamus

My pick: Riddle

Nobody denies that Riddle brings it in the ring. He has produced some awesome matches since being called up and Sheamus has been on an insane run of producing captivating matches. These two guys also have great chemistry as I have enjoyed every encounter they have had and I think this match will be another compelling hard-hitting affair with Matt Riddle retaining.

Intercontinental Championship: Big E vs. Apollo Crews (Nigerian Drum Fight)

ree

My pick: Apollo Crews

I am only choosing Apollo because he would look very bad if he not only lost to Big E for the 1000th time for the IC title, but in his own match! I’m interested to see if this new stipulation is bringing us something unique to the table or if it is a glorified street fight with drums in the background. Apollo’s character needs this victory, but Big E deserves more of a variety opponents to take on since most of his reign has been him fighting Crews. I guess we will just have to see what happens.

The Fiend vs. Randy Orton

ree

My pick: The Fiend

Randy Orton is a legend but let’s be real, you guys, there is no way The Fiend loses here unless WWE loves ruining the most unique character they have created in years. Randy SET HIM ON FIRE! That should be enough context for you guys to understand why The Fiend has to win. If you can survive arson you better win this match lol.

Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan - Triple Threat Match

ree

My pick: Edge Sleeper: DB

Yes, I chickened out and had to add DB as a possible winner of this match. The storytelling up to this point for all men involved has been compelling to watch. Roman’s reign has been one of the main reasons Smackdown has been the best shows WWE produces outside of NXT. What can be said about Edge’s return that hasn’t already been said and with him tapping into the opportunist I grew up watching is an element you can’t ignore. Daniel Bryan as the wildcard/potential spoiler is a great addition to this match. I’m taking Edge because it feels like the triple threat match could be a vehicle to get Edge the win without him pinning Roman but never sleep (even though he’s my sleeper) on Daniel Bryan.

Wrestlemania 37 will be streaming live on PeacockTv for Americans and on the WWE Network elsewhere on April 10th and April 11th!
